Gábor ZÁBORSZKY

Munkácsy Award-winning painter and graphic artist
He completed his studies at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. He won the Derkovits Scholarship already as a fledgling artist. He participated in the Venice Biennial of Visual Arts in 1980, and he exhibited his works at the Paris Biennial in 1982. He was invited as a guest lecturer by the Akademie Graz, and later by universities in Bonn, Munich and Philadelphia. He taught at the College of Applied Arts Between 1989 and 1995. He had a solo exhibition at the Kunsthalle Budapest in 2004 and at the Modern Art Museum in Passau in 2006. He was elected a member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
