Tibor GÁYOR

architect, graphic artist, painter He graduated as an architect in Budapest in 1951 and then immigrated to Vienna in 1956. He worked as a freelance artist from 1963, engaging in graphic design, painting and photography, and from 1969 in conceptual art. He made a series of folded tectonic works in the period from 1972 to 1986. He lived in Budapest and Vienna with his wife, Dóra Maurer, from 1968. He was bestowed the title Artist of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 2009. He was a regular member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts.
