(1963, Mohács) sculptor

She first studied geography and drawing at the University of Pécs between 1983 and 1987, and then sculpture at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam from 1988 to 1991. She obtained her MA at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1995, and her doctorate at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2005. She was deputy chair of the Studio of Young Artists’ Association from 1994 to 1998 and has been a senior member of the Hungarian Sculptor Society since 2007. She has been a lecturer at several universities. She has been a professor at the Faculty of Art of Kaposvár University since 2014 and habilitated at the University of Pécs in 2013. Her works have been regularly exhibited since 1991, with numerous solo exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. Her major awards include the Lipót Herman Award (1993), the Derkovits scholarship (1995), the Munkácsy Award (2005), the Campus Hungary Teacher’s Scholarship (2014) and the Artcadia Award (2015). Her works can be found in several Hungarian and European public collections.
