Zsolt KOROKNAI

(1961, Budapest) fine artist

He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1988, completed the MA programme between 1988 and 1991 and received the DLA degree in 2014. His areas of research are electrography, performativity in a video environment and crossing into the sister arts. He is an associate professor and has been teaching at the Institute of Design of METU since 2013. He has been regularly exhibiting his works since the 1990s: he has had more than one hundred solo shows and performances. He began to research crossing into the sister arts in 2005. He has made visual designs for many theatre performances and has had concerts with experimental bands. He has been on the board of the MAMŰ society since 2002, taking part in the cur atorial work of exhi bitions. He received the Lipót Herman Award in 1988, the Munkácsy Award in 2014 and won several art scholarships. His works can be found in public collections in Hungary and abroad, as well as in public spaces and private collections.
