He graduated in painting in 1985 from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where his master was Pál Gerzson. He is currently a habilitated associate professor at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, where he earned a DLA degree in 2010. His geometric and impressionistic abstract paintings are characterised by a lyrical palette and a subtle layer-on-layer pentimento technique, as well as inspirations drawn from landscapes and music. He has been exhibiting his works regularly in Hungary and abroad since 1985. His professional awards include the Smohay scholarship (1985), the Barcsay Prize (1991), the scholarship of the Hungarian Academy in Rome (2016) and the Munkácsy Award (2022). He was a resident artist at the Atelierhaus Worpswede (D) with a DAAD scholarship in 1991-1992 and at the Griffis Art Center (USA) with a HAESF scholarship in 2016. His works can be found in several public collections in Hungary and abroad.
