Dániel LÁSZLÓ
(1976, Budapest) painter
He graduated in the class of Zsigmond Károlyi from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2001 and since then he has been a professional painter. He is a member of the Hungarian Fine Arts Association and the MAMŰ cultur al association and, since 2003, a member and president of the SENSARIA Fine Arts Association. He has been exhibiting his work since 1997. He has worked as a guest artist in nearly forty artists’ colonies and communities. His most important recognitions are the Barcsay Prize (2001), a scholarship from the Hungarian Academy in Rome (2002), the Derkovits scholarship (2006–2008), the Tornyai Plaque (2012), and the scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (2021–2024). Since 2012, he has been the managing director of the Bartók 1 Gallery, where all the artists’ colonies and fine arts associations of the C arpathian Basin exhibit their work. Over the last twenty-three years, he has organised over one hundred solo exhibitions in most of the county seats of the Carpathian Basin, as well as in Rome and several cities in Germany. His works can be found in numerous private and public collections.
