In addition to his academic studies at the art colleges of Bratislava and Budapest, he was also a member of the alternative-informal art workshops of the time. For the artist, who describes himself as an abstract painter and realist performer, painting itself is a gesture that, if not a performance, definitely constitutes an action. His visual works are the imprints of an event captured in motion, the artistic action recorded in an image. He received the Munkácsy Award in 1990 and the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 2009. He has been a full member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts since 2024. In recent years, he has had solo exhibitions in Budapest, Szentendre, Miskolc, Pécs, Szentgotthárd, Tampere and Tallinn.
