Sándor DÓRÓ

(1950, Hajdúböszörmény) fine artist

He graduated in painting and graphic art from the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts in 1984 and became the assistant of Gottried Bammes at the institution’s Anatomy Department in the following year. he has been working as a freelance artist in the fields of installations, performance art, painting and graphic art since 1986. He has been teaching artistic anatomy at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts since 2008 and has been the academy’s full professor and honorary professor since 2016 and 2022, respectively. His book on artistic anatomy was published by Haupt, Bern in 2016. He has been exhibiting his paintings, installations and presenting his performances regularly in Germany, Hungary and all over Europe since 1986.
