Csilla BABINSZKY

(1970, Kecskemét) fine artist

After graduating from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, she received her doctorate at the University of Pécs. As a visual artist, she focuses on medial diversity, from painting through drawing, as well as to spatial and installation genres. She regards artistic practice as a way of thinking, reflection and self-reflection. She has participated in over one hundred solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She has won numerous artist residency programmes, in Switzerland, Italy, Spain, France and the USA. Her most important recognitions include the Barcsay Prize (1992), the Derkovits Scholarship (2000–2003), the National Drawing Triennial Prize (2016) and the Munkácsy Award (2014).
