Ferenc CSURGAI
(1956, Cegléd) sculptor
He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1984 and began his MA in 1985 at the same institution. From the year of his graduation, he started to pursue intensive research work on concrete technology linked to his sculptural activity. The material of his sculptures is concrete, and his innovative technological developments have allowed him to develop his unique formal style. He is credited with the development of the patented CFCM (Carbon Fiber Cement Matrix) technology. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions of his works, which can be found in several domestic public collections (including the International Ceramics Studio, KOGART and the Hungarian National Gallery).
