Kossuth Prize-winning sculptor and goldsmith
He first studied at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts and then at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where Béni Ferenczy was his master. He was imprisoned on fabricated charges in 1950. He was released in 1956, took part in the revolution, and then left Hungary. He completed his studies in Paris. In the early 1960s, he moved to Mexico, where he became a world-renowned sculptor. He made sculptures from precious metals in Expressionist and Surrealist styles. Many famous people from around the world wore his jewellery.
