(1944, Szombathely) fine artist

He graduated in 1970 from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, in György Kádár’s class. He held the Derkovits scholarship for the period of 1971-1974. He was elected president of the Hungarian Association of Fine and Applied Artists in 1999. He received the Ministerial Grand Prize on the Day of Hungarian Painting in 2007, the Miklós Galyasi Prize in 2022 and the Munkácsy Award in 2023. He has had several solo exhibitions in Hungary, Vienna and the United States. His unique genre is relief painting, but he also makes tapestry, sculpture and murals. His works can be found in the collections of the Hungarian National Gallery, the National Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Modern Gallery in Pécs and the József Katona Museum in Kecskemét, among others.
