Szilárd CSEKE
(1967, Pápa) painter
He graduated in 1995 from the University of Pécs, where his master was Gyula Konkoly. He is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on the natural environment and social phenomena with his series of paintings. His interactive installations explore issues such as identity, the economy and society. His multi-media project Sustainable Identities was featured at the 56th Biennale di Venezia. He won the Munkácsy Award in 2014. His works are included in several prestigious private and public collections, including the Ludwig Museum in Budapest, the Deutsche Telekom in Bonn and the AXA Art Americas Co. in New York, as well as the Capital Picture Gallery and the National Bank of Hungary in Budapest.
