(1953, Eger) sculptor
He completed his degree in sculpture between 1977 and 1983 at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where his master was Tamás Vigh. His works are characterised by coupled materials (bronze and chrome steel, chrome steel and wood, bronze and glass, acrystal and chrome wire and/or chrome plate) and colour- painted surfaces (painted wood, bronze, chrome steel and acrystal). They have been displayed at numerous solo exhibitions in Hungary and elsewhere in Europe. He was a holder of the Derkovits scholarship in 1986, won 1st prize at the 10th National Small Sculpture Biennial (1987), received the Munkácsy Award (1992) and was a Hungart scholarship holder (2009). His sculptures can be found in the collections of the Hungarian National Gallery, KOGART, the Saint Stephen’s Museum in Székesfehérvár, the Modern Hungarian Gallery and the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs as well as in the Edwin Scharff Museum in Neu-Ulm, the Sata System in Ettlingen and the Neue Galerie in Aachen.
