Zoltán SZÉKÁCS
(1954, Budapest) painter
He graduated in 1979 from the Hungarian College of Applied Arts, where his master was Imre Schrammel. He is a member of the Association of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists, the Society of Hungarian Painters, the Artists’ Colony in Érd and the Matéria Art Society. In the past ten years, he has had solo exhibitions in Budapest, Szekszárd, Szigetszentmiklós, Baja and Székesfehérvár. His most important awards include the Harmony Award of the Association of Hungarian Creative Artists (2015), the special prize of the Patak Festival (2016), the special prize of Water and Life Biennial (2016, Baja), the “White Pictures” exhibition prize (shared) awarded by the Society of Hungarian Painters (2016), the award of the Association of Hungarian Creative Artists (2019) and the “New Vision” Prize at the Patak Festival (2021). His works can be found in the collections of the Association of Hungarian Creative Artists, the Imre Gaál Gallery, the Vaszary Gallery, the Cifra Palace, the Municipal Gallery of Szigetszentmi.klós, the Gallery of Érd and the Körmendi Gallery. A monograph on his work was published in 2023
