Gábor Benő POGÁNY

(1962, Szolnok) sculptor

He graduated in 1987 from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where his master was József Somogyi. He has been an exhibiting artist, a regular participant of international sculpture colonies and a winner of several public sculpture and medal competitions since 1988. He has been the president of the Szolnok Art Association since 2005 and was the initiator and organiser of the pARTicum Szolnok open-air sculpture exhibition. He received the Lipót Herman Prize (1987), the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County Regional Prima Award (2009) and the Munkácsy Award (2019).
