László TENK

(1943, Nagybánya / Baia Mare, RO) painter

He completed his education in Tatabánya, Pécs and Miskolc. He graduated in painting in 1966 from the Hungarian College of Arts, where his master was Aurél Bernáth. He also works in the areas of graphic art and sculpture, and he wove tapestries with his wife, Erzsébet Csordás. He has been living in Budapest since 1975. He is the founder of the T-Art Foundation. He has been recognised with the Munkácsy Award (2001), the Aba Novák Lifetime Achievement Award (2016), the grand prix of the Spring Exhibition in Salgótarján (2019) and the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Autumn Exhi bition in Hódmezővásárhely (2020). He was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Óbuda-Békásmegyer in 2016.
