He graduated from the Hungarian College of Fine Arts. He began exhibiting his works in 1972. He taught drawing and art history at the Attila József Secondary School between 1985 and 1988 and was a lecturer at the University of Theatre and Film Arts from 1997 to 1998. He had several joint exhibitions with his wife, Erzsébet Vojnich: in Norway (1983), Paris (1996), Rome (1996 and Bucharest (1997). He later exhibited several times in Paris and then in Poland. He was a member of the Széchenyi Academy of Literature and Arts of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
