László KÁCSER
(1964, Budapest) fine artist
He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 1989. In his recent works, he uses a camera obscura as the optical device transcribing what we see before creating an image of it to record scenes he sets up in a selected environment in a stage set. The long moments of viewing the connected individual images and stories combine into pictorial sequences. Thanks to the custom-built structure, interior and materials of the camera obscura, the image is filled with a unique atmosphere in an analogue way and the object, the space-light-sound (object video) installation and the canvas inscribed with paint together constitute the final work.
