Amarilla KNYIHÁR

(1977, Békéscsaba) painter

She graduated in painting and teaching in 2002 from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where her master was Attila Kovács. She has been regularly exhibiting her work since the beginning of her career. She held the Derkovits scholarship between 2002 and 2005, while she received support from the National Cultural Fund of Hungary first in 2015 and then for the period between 2018 and 2024. She won the art scholarship awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Arts in 2024. She has been working together with Attila Pokorny since 2014 as an organiser at the Castle Park International Artists’ Colony in Gernyeszeg.
