Annamária ŐRY

(1980, Budapest) painter

She graduated in painting in 2006 from the Hungarian University of Arts, where her masters were Attila Kovács and József Gaál. She makes oil paintings as well as pastel, Indian ink and watercolour pictures. She is interested in the possibilities inherent in the various techniques and examines them while exploring a theme or genre of painting. She draws inspiration from nature as well as from the painting and cultural traditions of the West and the Far East. She has been regularly working and exhibiting her art in Hungary and Vietnam since 2016. Her most important awards are the scholarship of the Hungarian Academy in Rome (2009), the Munkácsy Award (2019) and the scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (2023). Her work can be found in the collections of the K.A.S Gallery, the Ari Kupsus, the Atelier Pro Arts, the Ha Manh Thang and the Art Vietnam Gallery.
