Áron Zsolt MAJOROS

(1982, Budapest) sculptor

He graduated in sculpture in 2008 from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where his master was P ál Kő. Since then, his oeuvr e has received numerous recognitions, including the Finta, Ezüstgerely (Silver Javelin) and Prima Junior awards. His works can be found in private and public collections from Asia to America, and have also enriched the collections of the New Museum in Mexico and the Elgiz Museum in Istanbul. His sculptures form a unique bridge between traditional archaic sculptural thinking and today’s fresh visual-spatial approach based on layering. He conveys his artistic expression with new materials and means, and enhances the intensity of sculptural effects with colours, light and projection. He has been the co-organiser and curator of the internationally renowned DUNARTCOM International Artists’ Colony in Somorja since 2013.
