Angelika TÓTH
(1977, Vác) painter
She was a student at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Miskolc between 2000 and 2004. Then, she studied painting at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts between 2004 and 2009, graduating in 2009. She studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan on an Erasmus scholarship in 2008. She has been participating in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Hungary and worldwide since 2008. Her most important recognitions are the Corvinus Foundation Award (2009), the Derkovits scholarship (2011–2013), the Artist Exchange Programme (CEAAC) in Strasbourg (2012), the Hungary Emerging programme (USA, 2018), the art scholarship awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Arts (2019) and the Excellence Award (2019). She won the 3rd prize of the sport-art competition of the Silver Javelin Subcommittee of the Hungarian Olympic Committee in 2022 and the prize of the Renaissance competition of the Ignác Tragor Museum in 2024.
