Levente BARANYAI

(1966, Budapest) painter

He studied painting between 1987 and 1994 at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where his teacher way Károly Klimó, and then attended the DLA programme there between 1994 and 1996. His works have been displayed at numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the Istanbul Biennial and Art Basel. He had a solo exhibition in Zurich in 2013. He won the Lipót Herman Award in 1994, the Béla Kondor Award in 1996, the Derkovits Scholarship in 1997 and the Strabag Award for Painting in 1998. He has published two books on painting. His works can be found in several Hungarian public collections.
