Daniela BIKÁCSI
(1943, Budapest) painter
She studied interior design at the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts between 1962 and 1964 and then, from 1964 to 1967, at the painting department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, where she also completed her MA in 1969. Since 1972, she has participated in several major group exhibitions in Hungary and abroad, including Paris, Saint-Étienne, London, Vienna, Eindhoven, Dortmund, Amstelveen, Geldrop, Geneva, Washington DC, Frankfurt, Milan, Dublin, Rome, Berlin and Brussels. She was a Derkovits scholarship holder between 1971 and 1974. She won several prizes at the watercolour biennials in Eger and her work was recognised with the Munkácsy Award in 1994. She studied on a scholarship at the Hungarian Academy in Rome in 2001. Her works can be found in major Hungarian public collections.
