Barbara NAGY

(1976, Szentendre) painter

She graduated in painting from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in the class of Dóra Maurer in 2005 and obtained a DLA degree at the same institution in 2012. She is a member of the Open Structures Art Association, the Szentendre Graphic Workshop, the Studio of Young Artists, the Lajos Vajda Studio Cultural Association and the Association of Hungarian Creative Artists. She regularly publishes art critiques in Hungarian journals and also works as a curator. She has been an assistant professor at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts since 2023. Her works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Hungary, as well as in Austria, Slovakia and Germany. Her work was recognised with the Munkácsy Award in 2024.
