Éva Mónika HORVÁTH

(1965, Budapest) fine artist

She graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts as a teacher of painting and art history in 1993 and completed her postgraduate studies in aesthetics at ELTE in 1992. She was a member of the Doctoral School and Workshop of Philosophy at the University of Pécs between 2005 and 2007. She has been mainly involved in painting since 1997. She was attracted to visual forms with a personal tone within the field of panel painting between 1992 and 2012, during which period she presented her work at about twenty-five solo exhibitions. In the recent decade, she has regarded exhibition contexts as working phases and has summed up her experiments and adaptive works in performance art. She regularly publishes articles on art, philosophy of art and art education. Her work can be found in private and public collections as well as in public institutions.
