Róbert CSÍKSZENTMIHÁLYI

Kossuth Award-winning medal artist, sculptor, Artist of the Nation
He completed his studies at the Hungarian College of Fine Arts, where he was influenced and inspired by Miklós Borsos, Ferenc Medgyessy and Jenő Barcsay. Initially, he also worked as an art teacher but from 1975 he worked as an independent artist. He regularly exhibited his works both in Hungary and abroad. His historical monuments, commemorative sculptures and decorative fountains can be seen in public spaces and public buildings in cities both in Hungary and abroad. He also sculpted numerous tombstones. His autonomous artistic work included small sculptures and medals. He actively participated in the artistic life of Szentendre and several Hungarian artist communities.
