Mózes INCZE
(1975, Barót / Baraolt, RO) painter
He graduated from the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2000. He explores ways to simultaneously represent the continually changing image of the present time and the longer-term structures (painting tradition, repository of forms): his works are imprints of this search. In his paintings, he represents the interpretation of a world that is becoming virtual through the expansion of technology from the perspective of flesh and blood people, opening up space for the survival of the soul trapped in algorithms. He has been participating in solo and group exhibitions as well as in prominent art fairs in Hungary and abroad since 1997. His important recognitions include the Bertalan Székely scholarship (1997), the Autumn Exhi bition of Hódmezővásárhely, the Niveau Prize (2009), grand prix of the HM-MMKI Patronage (2010), the Koller Prize (2011), the grand prix of the Contemporary Self-portrait Biennial (2014), an art scholarship awarded by the Hungarian Academy of Arts (2018), and the Munkácsy Award (2023).
