Eszter CSURKA

(1969, Budapest) fine artist

She graduated in visual communication from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts and simultaneously studied cinematography and directing at the College of Theatre and Film Arts. She has regularly exhibited her works since 1991 and her first solo exhibition was held in 1994. She has received numerous recognitions, including the Studio of Young Designers Association scholarship (1998), the Strabag Painting Award (2001), the Derkovits scholarship (2002–2004), the Hungart scholarship (2008) and the Munkácsy Award (2017). Her works can be found in numerous art collections in Hungary as well as in Jaipur (India) and Shanghai (China). She has been a regular member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts since 2020.
